12 Days of Christmas: Gifts for the Menfolk

Day Two: Gifts for the Menfolk

It was the gift buying stereotype – “men are difficult to buy for.”

Then somewhere post millennium gift producers realised that men were difficult to buy for because there was nothing exciting or interesting being made for them. In 2015, men of all ages and with all tastes and interests are catered for. In fact some of our favourite products in Cloudberry are the gifts for the guys.

Amongst our bestsellers for men are t-shirts. We stock a variety of t-shirts from Scottish companies such as Urban Pirate and Fortune Favours The Brave.   The latter is a small Glaswegian based company inspired by Scottish humour. They make this brilliant guide to the Scots language t-shirt (£20) (below), with guidance on how to pronounce the alphabet with a handy example of a Scottish word beginning with that letter. Hand screen printed in Glasgow on 100% cotton, it’s an ideal present for a brother, son or partner.

Then there’s Urban Pirate’s Scotland Map Names t-shirt (£20). A bestseller throughout the year for Cloudberry, this t-shirt is two gifts in one as it will keep the man in your life occupied throughout Christmas as he tries to count all the place names mention on this t-shirt. There are a lot! Also made in Glasgow with 100% cotton, both t-shirts are available in a variety of sizes.

For the lads who likes to wear cufflinks, we think these are spectacular. We introduced Beauelle cufflinks (£20) at the beginning of November. Made from clay by Aberdeenshire-based designer Rachel West, they are quite different to anything else you’ll find. With a contemporary Scottish flavour, they come in lots of colours and are a great value buy.

Keep an eye out for the wider Beauelle range in our shops. There’s lots of clay jewellery for the lassies, too!
